The Nutty Squirrel

The Nutty Squirrel (2025) is a children’s book about a greedy (or in this case, nutty!) squirrel named Tommy. In his pursuit to hoard all of the acorns in the forest to himself, he pushes away everyone who could’ve been his friends. That all changes when one day, his new neighbor Emily moves in.
The Nutty Squirrel was written and self-published by debut author Lori Wegner as a gift for her daughter Azaria Wegner Dijkhuis, based on a bedtime story that they wrote together.
